Carol's Life
Why are people trying to keep Earth green? Why are people trying to stop climate change? Well, the reason is to avoid having to live a life like Carol.

Carol frantically ran around the bunker, trying to find her mother. The bunker was a new environment
for
her, since she only started actually exploring the bunker yesterday. Her mother and her 17-year old
brother knew the place by heart. Carol´s mum would often tell her stories about when the earth was a
beautiful place
and how there would be time for fun. Ever since the robots arrived, the earth had been a
poisonous,horrid
place. The robots had executed everyone other than Carol, her mum and her brother because they went
into
hiding.
Carol and her small family had previously had a few close escapes with their hiding spot being
discovered,since the
robots inhabited almost every single place on earth. Their bunker was on a small island called
Maroon Island
because the island was covered in chalky maroon sand. Her family would sometimes have to wear gas
masks
because the robots would spray poisonous fumes that were very dangerous.
“Mum,MUM!” Carol hollered. Her voice echoed around the metal walls of the bunker. ”Yes” Mum panted.
Her voice
was coming from the airlock. Carol ran through the empty hallway and twisted the padlock.Mist
sizzled out of
the room. Mum was leaning against a wall, hyperventilating."Are you ok?" . Carol rushed to her
mother’s
side.Carol noticed large bleeding scars all over her mother's body, but what worried Carol the most
was her
mum´s broken twisted arm. Oh god, Carol murmured.
To Carol, the best thing to do was to call her brother Emery. Emery had earned his first aid licence
a
couple of years ago."Wait here, I´ll be right back" Carol reassured her mother and she dashed off
into the
hallway to find Emery.
"Emery!" Carol exclaimed."Yes?" her brother replied."Where are you?"."I'm in the planter room" Carol
ran as
fast as a cheetah. Carol was devastated by the sight. There were barely any edible plants and weeds
had
dominated the planters.Carol felt tears welling in her eyes.Emery, come on. Mum´s really hurt!"."Oh
god¨
Emery replied. Carol hastily grabbed Emery´s arm and started to run in the direction of the airlock,
with
Emery trailing behind. They entered the airlock and Emery gasped at the sight of his mother. ¨Carol,
go get
the wheelchair and lots of plasters¨ Emery commanded. Carol did as she was told and hurried out of
the
airlock. Carol returned with the things and Emery had already got their mum´s arm wrapped in a snug
cast.
Emery and Carol hauled their mother onto the wheelchair. Their mother's eyes suddenly fluttered from
their
unconsciousness and Carol tightly hugged her beloved mother with joy.
