Emily to the Rescue!
It's been Emily's dream to be a Ocean unicorn, but her parents don't approve. They want her to be a Welfare unicorn and to make lots of money. But Emily doesn't care about money. She cares about passion. Will she achieve her dream?
Once upon a time, in a land called Shimmerhornia, there lived a unicorn named Emily. In
Shimmerhornia, every unicorn had a talent, and they would use their talents to take care and maintain
Shimmerhornia. Woodland unicorns would take care of the forests and all the forest creatures.
Welfare unicorns would make sure that all creatures and unicorns were healthy. Ocean unicorns would
make sure that the ocean was healthy and marine life was doing well. There were many other
responsibilities to maintain Shimmerhonia.
Emily had always dreamed of being an Ocean unicorn, but her parents had never approved of her being
an Ocean unicorn. Her parents wanted her to be a Welfare unicorn like them. Being a Welfare unicorn
would mean getting alot of money. But Emily didn't care about money. She cared about passion.
One day, it was unusually hot in Shimmerhornia. All the creatureshad taken shelter, and alot of
unicorns had gone to hang out at Angel's Domain lake. But Emily was at home, daydreaming about what
she'd do if she were an Ocean unicorn. Emily thought about her favourite ocean, Sharilyn Ocean. When
Emily was a filly, she'd go with her friend Caitlin and splash around in the clear water.
Emily raced out the door and galloped as fast as her hooves could carry her to Sharilyn Ocean, but
the sight she saw wasn't what was usually there. All the Ocean unicorns were gathered around, and
Caitlin's mum was barking out orders. Caitlin's mum was the leader of the Ocean unicorns. Caitlin
was standing
beside her mum, looking worried. Emily pushed her way through the crowd of Ocean unicorns and made
her way to Caitlin."Caitlin! What is going on?" , Emily exclaimed, alarmed. Caitlin sighed."Follow
me", Caitlin said sadly. Caitlin guided Emily to the shore of Sharilyn Ocean."Oh no!" , Emily cried.
The sight she saw was too devastating to bear. Sharilyn Ocean was drying up! That meant that all the
creatures which lived in the ocean's lives were at stake! "Has your mum tried asking all the
unicorns to use their magic together?" , Emily asked." Actually, that's a really good idea" , Caitlin
said thoughtfully. She galloped to her mother and whispered in her ear."Could all Ocean unicorns
report to the Sharilyn Ocean shoreline. That's all Ocean unicorns must report to the Sharilyn Ocean
shoreline. Thank you" , Caitlin's mum announced through a bullhorn. Soon, the shore was crowded with
the ocean unicorns."Ok,
so on the count of 3, we're all going to blast our magic at the ocean at the same time." , Caitlin's
mum directed."Is everyone ready?" . A murmur of yeses and nos went through the crowd."Ok. Three, two,
one!" .
There was a burst of light. For a second, Emily was blinded. But after the flash was gone, Emily
rejoiced in happiness. Sharilyn Ocean had been restored to its former glory. Caitlin's mum came up
to Emily."Emily, you have saved Sharilyn Ocean. You are a very smart, friendly and caring girl. So
you deserve this." , Caitlin's mum smiled and placed her hoof on Emily's forehead."W-what are you
doing?" , Emily stammered. Suddenly, Emily rose into the air. A golden sphere of light enveloped her.
Emily felt… She couldn't even describe it. Then Emily slowly came back to the ground. Before,
Emily's mane was dead-straight blond, but now, her mane cascaded
down like waves, and it was the most beautiful shade of aquamarine and on her rump, there were two
small waves."Oh my gosh!" , Emily gushed. "I'm an Ocean unicorn!" . "Yes, you totally deserve to be
one" , Caitlin's mum smiled. Emily had achieved her dream plus Sharilyn Ocean had been saved!
